Frequently Asked Questions

How much parking is there and is it free?

The house has a 2 car heated garage that can fit 2 small cars or 1 large vehicle. There’s a driveway that can fit 2 cars. There are also guest parking spots on the street but these are only for 24 hour use and not for multi-day parking.

How do we get access to the house?

Our property manager will meet you at the home to make sure you get in with no issues.  We also have a smart garage door opener so you’ll be able to open the garage door using your smart phone during your stay.

What is the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in time will be around 4pm and check out is 10am. With most bookings, we will have some flexibility so contact us if you need a different check-in or check-out time.

Are you local? Do you have a local property manager?
What if we have questions or issues while we're there?

The phone number on our contact page will ring both of our phones (Ryan and Kathi). You can also text the number and it will reach both of us. In addition, there will also be contact info for a local property manager in case you’re unable to reach us for some reason.

Do you have suggestions for restaurants, things to do, etc.?

Yes, we have lots of suggestions. Feel free to contact us for specific questions, but make sure to first check out the info on our site including our blog that contains a lot of suggestions.

Is the house kid friendly?

Yes, the house is kid friendly. We lived in the house with 2 small children. We’ve travelled a lot with kids and babies too so we know what parents need! We have the following:

  • 1 Pack N Plan with changing table attachment
  • Chicco hook-on chair that can be used on the counter
  • Kids plates, bowls, utensils, bibs, cups
  • Small collection of kids toys and books
  • Stair gates
  • Umbrella stroller
Can we have pets in the house?

No, sorry. Pets are not allowed

Does the house have air conditioning?

The house does not have air conditioning. For most of our guests coming in the winter, this won’t matter. For guests coming in the summer, this might be more of a concern. We’ve lived here for 3 summers and the lack of A/C is not a big deal. As long as you keep the shades shut in the afternoon sun on the front of the house and open the windows when the sun goes down, the house cools off nicely in the evening even in the heat of summer.

Is there a list of things to do before checking out?

Yes, there are some things that you can do to help us out on your day of departure. We’ll provide those to you in our online home guide and have that available at the house too.
